Situated on the local island of Fulidhoo, Vaavu Atoll the dive center sits at the heart of channel diving territory. Fulidhoo Dive & Water Sports offers exceptional dive and ocean experiences to adventure-seeking travelers from around the world.
The atoll is well-known for being home to many large pelagic creatures, including hammerhead and grey reef sharks, and vast schools of bigeye trevallies and this incredible wildlife makes for some high-adrenaline diving! Night dives are a popular excursion choice – especially to the world famous Alimatha house reef, where divers can encounter hundreds of schooling nurse sharks – supposedly one of the world’s largest known congregations!
Fulidhoo Dive & Water Sports is PADI Five Star Dive Centre - the only one on the island - and offers PADI dive courses, Discover Scuba Diving programmes, as well as snorkeling excursions.

Dining

Kinan Retreat restaurant offers buffet style lunch and dinner. The buffet includes rice dishes, chicken, fish, pasta, fruits etc.. They also offer weekly BBQ and lobster dinner on request.
There are also 2 local cafes on the island serving local food (fried rice, noodles, curries etc..).
Shops stock the usual biscuits, fruits, ice creams for snacking.

Activities

Apart the year-round diving activities Fulidhoo Dive & Water Sports offers snorkeling, dolphin cruise, sandbank picnic, water sports (fun tube etc..) and kayaking. Jet skis are also available on the island. Fishing excursions are available on request.

Getting There

1) Government ferry: Government ferry leaves 3x a week on Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from Male, takes 3.5hours and costs 3.5usd. It's very comfortable, especially in calm seas. Tickets can be bought the day before after 3 pm or in the morning.
To come back, it departs Fulidhoo on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays at 11 am, getting into Male around 1430.
2) Speedboat: there are daily scheduled speedboats, except Fridays, at 11 am (the timetable is subject to change) which cost 40$ per person each way and the transfer takes 1hr15mins. Must be booked in advance.
3) Private speedboat transfer available on request.
