Atoll Scuba is a dive centre located on the local island Bodufolhudhoo, with their hotel Lagoon View Maldives. Atoll Scuba team are committed to teaching diving and exploring the underwater world of the Maldives. The young and dynamic team, comprising of dive instructors, marine biologists, and cameramen, have demonstrated their experience and professionalism by working with the government, various organizations and exploring never discovered underwater sites in the Maldives.

price per day: 88 USDDeluxe Double Rooms come with either double or single beds. Designed in open-concept living area, they have lots of in-room facilities. The room sizes are 20 sqm. They are also equipped with a fully-stocked minibar and snacks, air-conditioning unit, a wardrobe, makeup mirror, and ensuite bathroom.
Dining
On par with our Lagoon Breeze restaurant, we also have a Coffee Shop that will be opened from morning 6am until 11pm, which features an extensive Beverages from fresh juices, mock tails, Coffee and snacks Menu of its own… Alcohol will not be served with us, however, guests who prefer to enjoy a beer or wine could take our 4 minutes speed transfer and visit the Bar at nearby resorts between 5pm -9pm.
Diving
All dives start from the Dive Centre at Lagoon View Maldives. Don't worry, if you stay on one of our neighbour Islands, Atoll Scuba will pick you up from your resort or guest house. Atoll Scuba offers shore or boat dives. The distance to the dive sites varies from place to place.

House Reef

Our house reef is just a 2 minute swim from the dive centre. The reef top is at 3 metres and drops to 25 meters. You can see various species marine life during the dive. Turtles, Octopus, White Tip Reef Sharks, Sting Rays, and even Guitar Sharks. -
Gangehi Kandu
Suitable for: Advanced divers
Depth: 3m to 30m
Expect to see: Grey Reef Sharks, White Tip Reef Sharks, Silvertip Sharks, Leopard Sharks, Eagle Rays, Turtles and other Pelagic
Time from Bodufolhudhoo: 10 min
Gangehi Kandu is one of the best channels in this Atoll. There is a chance of very strong currents here. At around 20-25 metres there are many overhangs. The first overhang is at 20 metres and is about 80 metres long. On the sandy bottom there are blocks where you might find several kinds of sharks like Leopard sharks & Whitetip reef sharks. Also look out into the blue water, where you will have a chance to see Grey Reef sharks, Mantas, Tunas and Eagle Rays. With a little luck, maybe even a Whale Shark. The channel is roughly 2 km long and around 200 metres wide, the maximum depth is 30 metres. -
Miyaru Gaa
Suitable for: Advanced divers
Depth: 15m to 30m
Expect to see: Grey Reef Sharks, White Tip Reef Sharks, Nurse Sharks, Eagle Rays, Napoleon Wrasse

This site is on the south west of Nika Island Resort, about 80m long and more than 30m deep. Reef top is at 15m and a negative descent might be needed with strong current. Practically the whole thila is undercut with terraces, overhangs and caves, but the main highlight is that in the middle - north side there are two tunnels that cross the thila completely. They are about 1m wide, one at 21m and the other one at 2m. The reef is very surreal, with lots of overhangs, holes and many soft and hard coral formations. Good place for UW -
Maaya Thila
Suitable for: Beginners & Advanced divers
Depth: 6m to 30m
Expect to see: Grey Reef Sharks, Silvertip Sharks, White Tip Reef Sharks, Eagle Rays, Turtles and abundant reef fish

This is probably one of the most popular dive sites in North Ari Atoll and is a marine protected area. The thila is at 6m on the top with a diameter of around 80 meters. The wall drops to 30 meters creating overhangs and balconies all around. Amazing corals, sea fans and reef fishes. Moray Eels, Turtles and Lionfishes on the top reef are seen frequently as well as White Tip Sharks, Grey Reef Sharks, Barracudas and Marble Stingrays. This dive site is perfect for night dives. -
Hafsa Thila
Suitable for: Beginners & Advanced divers
Depth: 12m to 30m
Expect to see: Grey Reef Sharks, White Tip Reef Sharks, Eagle Rays, Turtles, hunting Dogtooth Tunas

Another good dive site to watch Grey Reef Sharks. Top of the thila start at a depth of about 12 metres. The steeply dropping reef is covered in beautifully overgrown overhangs. In addition to Grey Reef Sharks & White Tip Reef Sharks you can watch the Trevallys and Dog Tooth Tunas hunting. Many different species of reef fish are at home here as well. -
Maalohs Thila
Suitable for: Advanced divers
Depth: 10m to 30m
Expect to see: Colourful soft corals, White Tip Reef Sharks, Grey Reef Sharks, Sting Rays, Turtles
Time from Bodufolhudhoo: 40 min
One of the best sites for soft corals. The reef top is at a depth of 10-12 metres sloping down to over 30 metres. On the south side, quite a few big and small overhangs, which are covered in soft corals. Some beautifully overgrown blocks are there away from the main reef. You can see Dogtooth Tuna, Trevallys, Napoleons & Grey Reef Sharks in the blue. There are lots of schooling fish on the reef - Fusiliers, Blue Striped Snappers, Sweetlips. -
Bathala Maaga Kan Thila
Suitable for: Advanced divers
Depth: 5m to 30m
Expect to see: Grey Reef Sharks, Silvertip Sharks, White Tip Reef Sharks, Eagle Rays, Sting Rays, Napoleons, Dogtooth Tunas and other Pelagic
Time from Bodufolhudhoo: 45 min
This is a 300-metre-long reef ridge reaching in the channel and sloping from 5 to more than 30 metres. With incoming or outgoing currents, big schools of Grey Reef Sharks can be seen cruising in the current. Dogtooth Tuna, Eagle Rays, Trevallys, White Tip Reef Sharks, Napoleon Wrasse and much more are seen frequently. -
Mushimasmigili Thila (Fish Head)
Suitable for: Beginners and Advanced divers
Depth: 10m to 30m
Expect to see: Turtles, schools of Snappers, Fussilers, Giant Trevallys, Grey Reef Sharks, White Tip Reef Sharks
Time from Bodufolhudhoo: 40 min
Another marine protected area and one of the best dive sites. The reef top is at a depth of 10-12 metres. The reef contour slopes down steeply to a depth of 40 metres, where you find big and small overhangs along the walls. The main attraction most certainly is the abundance of. Grey and White Tip Reef Sharks, different kinds of Trevallys and Tuna are hunting the big schools of Fusiliers. But you can also admire the Hawksbill Turtles on the top reef. A MUST for every diver!! -
Manta Point
Suitable for: Beginners and Advanced divers
Depth: 12m to 20m
Expect to see: Manta Rays, Eagle Rays, White Tip Reef Sharks

A Manta cleaning station, the top of the block is at 12 metres and a maximum depth of 20 metres. On a good day, you can see over 15 Mantas all around the coral block. Eagle Rays and White Tip Reef Sharks can be seen patrolling around. Strong currents to be expected sometimes. -
Bodu Thila
Suitable for: Beginners and Advanced divers
Depth: 8m to 30m
Expect to see: Soft corals, Grey Reef Sharks, White Tip Reef Sharks, Turtles

A long thila with the top starting at 8-10 metres and going down to 40 metres. Along the sides of the wall are small overhangs with beautiful soft corals. Grey Reef Sharks and White Tip Reef Sharks are seen regularly. And there is a cleaning station for the sharks at around 15 metres. -
Halaveli Wreck
Suitable for: Beginners and Advanced divers
Depth: 14m to 30m
Expect to see: Sting Rays, Moray Eels, Nudibranchs

The wreck sunk in 1991 lies at 28 meters depth. The main deck of the wreck is at 18 metres. Moray Eels, Groupers and Sting Rays can be seen. Also a lot flatworms and nudibranchs. -
Thin Thila
Suitable for: Beginners and Advanced divers
Depth: 6m to 30m
Expect to see: White Tip Reef Sharks, Nurse Sharks, Turtles, Eagle Rays, Manta Rays
Time from Bodufolhudhoo: 15 min
There are three peaks creating a 150m long thila with the top at 6m. The thila drops to 20 metres on the west, and to 30 metres on the east. Nurse sharks can be found inside small cavies. During March, Mantas can be seen here. -
Dhinolhu Gaa
Suitable for: Beginners and Advanced divers
Depth: 8m to 30m
Expect to see: Turtles, White Tip Reef Sharks, Manta Rays, Napoleons

There is a cleaning station on the top reef at about 8 metres deep and surrounded by sand. You can see 5 to 10 Mantas going around the coral block depending on the currents. You can also go and check out the rest of the Thila and drift along the edge. The edge is has small overhangs full of soft corals. -
Rasdhoo Madivaru
Suitable for: Advanced divers
Depth: 5m to 30m
Expect to see: Hammerhead Sharks, Grey Reef Sharks, White Tip Reef Sharks, Eagle Rays, Dogtooth Tunas, Turtles

Hammerheads! With a bit of luck, we can see these sharks in the blue water. Back on the reef you’ll find the usual inhabitants, Eagle Rays, Grey Reef Sharks, White Tip Reef Sharks, Dogtooth Tunas, and a lot of schooling fish. -
Fesdu Wreck
Suitable for: Advanced divers
Depth: 22m to 30m
Expect to see: Soft corals, Nudibranchs, Flatworms, Leaf Fish, Frog Fish, Sting Rays, White Tip Reef Sharks

Sunk in the 80’s, this 30-metre-long vessel lies at a depth of approximately 30 metres. The top of the wreck is at a depth of 22 metres. The wreck is fully covered with hard and soft corals. The thila next to the wreck is perfect to end the dive. This small thila is covered in colourful soft corals and a garden of anemones. -
Kandholhudhoo Thila
Suitable for: Beginners and Advanced divers
Depth: 5m to 30m
Expect to see: Soft corals, Turtles, White Tip Reef Sharks, Eagle Rays, Sting Rays
Time from Bodufolhudhoo: 30 min
This small thila starts at a depth of 5 metres and slopes down to depths of 33 metres. Around the reef you can find beautiful overhangs. All kinds of schooling fish such as Sweetlips, Blue Striped and Hunchback Snappers and Fusiliers can be seen. Sightings of Tunas, Sharks and Eagle Rays out in the blue are also common. -
Kuramathi Rasdhoo Channel
Suitable for: Advanced divers
Depth: 10m to 30m
Expect to see: Napoleons, Eagle Rays, Grey Reef Sharks, White Tip Reef Sharks, Sting Rays
Time from Bodufolhudhoo: 35 min
There are a lot of thilas in the channel between Kuramathi Resort and Rasdhoo island. The thilas on Kuramthi side are shallower, starting around 17 metres. The thilas towards Rasdhoo are deeper. All the thilas drop down more than 30m deep on the reef edge. Grey Reef Sharks, White Tip Reef Sharks, Eagle Rays and other pelagics can be seen. Sometimes Hammerhead Sharks are seen depending on the season and currents. -
Thoddoo
Suitable for: Beginners and Advanced divers
Depth: 5m to 30m
Expect to see: Manta Rays, Grey Reef Sharks, Silvertip Sharks, White Tip Reef Sharks, schools of Snappers

This big island in the open ocean away from the main North Ari Atoll is good to see Mantas and other pelagics. The reef top starts at 5 metres and drops down to depths of 30 to 50 metres and more. Grey Reef Sharks, Silvertip Sharks, Thresher Sharks and even Tiger Sharks have been seen here.
